What Timerbench is
Timerbench is a collection of browser tools for everyday moments: a readable timer for classes, workshops and meetings, and quick tests for your webcam, microphone, keyboard, mouse and screen. There is no account and nothing to install. Open the page and start.
Every tool comes with a guide covering the problems that actually come up: blocked permissions, a camera held by another app, a headset that sounds muffled over Bluetooth. The aim is to help you find the cause yourself.
How the tools handle your data
The tools run in your browser. Camera images, microphone input, key presses and mouse clicks are processed on your device only and are not sent to a server. Fonts, sounds and the tools’ scripts are served by Timerbench itself.
Your settings, such as the countdown length, are kept in your browser’s local storage. The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising, so every page loads a script from Google. Advertising cookies and personalised ads are only used if you explicitly agree. The details are in the privacy policy.
Who is behind it
Timerbench is run by Daniel Laval from Strausberg in Brandenburg, Germany. The site was designed and built by Nymot.
